More than 500 people kicked off their holiday celebration at the Omni Nashville Hotel for Renewal House Thanksgiving. During a traditional meal that included turkey and all the trimmings, Pamela Sessions, CEO of Renewal House, spoke about how addiction is continuing to impact Tennesseans, Dr. Jessica Young discussed the devastating effects of addiction on families and a former client shared their story of success. The theme, A Time to Nurture, reminded attendees about a mother’s nurturing love for her children while the tables were decorated with gardening gloves and plants as a centerpiece to mirror the theme of nurturing a garden. The event raised $175,000 to enable Renewal House to continue to change the lives of women and children by providing specialized addiction treatment while keeping them together in its family-centered program.
